Fibre optic lighting offers the following benefits:
- Fibre optic lighting is economical to use and easy to manitain.
- One light source can supply literally hundreds of light points.
- The fibre optic harness carries no electricity and and is safe to use in wet and humid conditions such as bathrooms, shower cubicles, spas, saunas, and swimming pools. The only electricity is in the light source which can be located in an adjacent dry area.
- The light points are at the end of the fibre optic harness and are therefore cold and transmit no heat or UV light. This not only a safety feature but is important in museums, art galleries, shops and homes where valuable items are otherwise prone to damage from conventional lighting.
